Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year!
This year we will be embarking on a rigorous and fun course of AP World History. History is one of the best subjects in my opinion because it opens the door to so many levels of study. If you love math, science, English, philosophy, art, music, politics, economics, geography or actual history then this is the class for you! There is always something new to learn and together we will collaborate to make this a great year.
I am going into my tenth year of teaching in the classroom. I have taught a variety of subjects from elementary to history in high school. I have also taught in Hungary, New Mexico, and of course Texas. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a double major in Journalism and History. I then continued my educational journey and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with Masters in Curriculum Instruction with a focus on Literacy.
In my free time I love to hang out with my husband and three year old son. My hobbies include reading, writing, doing art activities, visiting museums, enjoying the outdoors, or eating tacos. Fun fact: I have visited almost every Presidential Library, and have been to over twenty countries. Make sure you check out the weekly calendar for up to date information on assignments.
