It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I write this introduction. My name is Dr. Tiffany Staats and I will serve as your new Interim Principal at Duncanville High School Collegiate Academy. I am excited about the opportunity to lead such an amazing program of talented scholars, supportive parents, and committed teachers and staff.

I have been in education for 19.5 years, the past three and a half of which I have served as the Associate Principal of Curriculum and Instruction at Duncanville High School. My time at DHS has allowed me to see all of the wonderful accomplishments of all scholars, both comprehensive and collegiate, including the first graduating class of the collegiate academy. As I transition into this position, I am aware of the anticipation and eagerness that accompanies new leadership in any organization. I know that change can provoke both excitement and anxiety. It is my goal to spend my first few weeks learning about our school and all of its stakeholders. I eagerly anticipate getting to know the DHSCA community, and ensuring that we continue to write success stories, one student at a time.

I am honored to lead and serve you this year as Academic Dean of Duncanville High School Collegiate Academy.  Duncanville has been a part of my family for many years.   I am a wife, mother and actively involved in my community.

As a Dallas native, I earned a Bachelor Degree from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas and Master Degree from Dallas Baptist University.  With 15 years of experience in Duncanville ISD in school counseling and campus leadership combined, I understand and value the need for academic, social and emotional partnership between home and the school community.  I believe learning is a continuous process, occurring both in the classroom and in our communities.   Providing our scholars with unlimited learning experiences while supporting their social and emotional needs ensures we are holistically growing and enriching each individual scholar.

I am passionate about providing a high level of support and committed to building positive relationships.  Together we will Ignite Passion, Captivate Interest and Elevate Mindsets to ensure our scholars are well prepared with the necessary skills needed to contribute to the global society and write their next chapter successfully.

Radiah Dewberry - Counselor

I am proud to serve as the Duncanville High School Collegiate Counselor.  This is my first year at Duncanville High School and my 19th year as a Professional School Counselor.  I obtained a BA in English from Texas Tech University and a MA in School Counseling from the University of North Texas.

As a counselor it is of utmost importance that I provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program implemented to serve students from various backgrounds in the areas of academic, career, and personal/social development. As a proactive student advocate, I must recognize the uniqueness, dignity, and personal worth of each individual while collaborating with students, parents, educators, and community members to support each individual student. It is my responsibility to find and develop plans to remove any/all barriers in preparation for student success in our ever-changing society.
