I am very humbled and honored to serve as the principal of Duncanville High School Collegiate Academy, and to join this excellent school community. I can assure you I share in this school community’s dedication to ignite passion, captivate interest and elevate growth mindsets.

The 2022-23 school year will mark my 18th year in education. Prior to becoming principal, my leadership experiences included assistant principal, collegiate academy administrator, and discipline and truancy specialist in neighboring districts. I also have 9 years of classroom teaching experience. I pride myself in being a native of Dallas; Therefore, my educational experiences remained close to home. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Texas, and a Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.

I am blessed to be the mother of an amazing young man. My educational philosophy is based on my uncompromising expectation and belief that our children will excel, given a positive learning environment, strong and knowledgeable leadership, a committed and focused educational team, an encouraging community, and a supportive family.

It is my privilege to lead DHS Collegiate Academy and the many talented teachers and scholars here! My goal is to continue to provide a supportive climate and culture at DHS Collegiate Academy that is conducive to teaching and learning. By doing so, each individual student and teacher can experience growth to their highest potential. I look forward to interacting with all stakeholders in our school community and welcome your conversation and input! Let us keep our students the primary focus of our work. I can’t wait to celebrate our collective successes during the 2021-22 school year.
