Pamela Thomas - Principal
I am passionate about education and supporting the academic and socioemotional success of all students. Over the past 15 years, I have educated and led in the capacity of Social Studies and Advanced Placement Teacher, Department Chair, Instructional Coordinator, and Dean of Instruction. In each of these roles, I sought to make connections that support a culture of collaboration and active learning. I believe in providing relevant, engaging instruction coupled with meaningful extracurricular opportunities to support young scholars as they progress through their journey. Ultimately, it is my number one priority at Duncanville’s Collegiate Academy to ensure that all scholars are prepared with the necessary tools to be productive citizens as they write the next chapter of their story.
As principal, you can count on me to be an optimistic risk taker, support new ideas, develop strong relationships, and promote growth. I pledge to be steadfast in my efforts to develop scholars who are self-confident, culturally proficient and strategic, problem-solvers. I am committed to academic excellence and unwavering support of every student. The success of our program is dependent on a team approach and will be evidenced by scholars who are resilient and prepared to excel in all their endeavors. Through student and family engagement as well as targeted professional learning, possibilities have no boundaries! I look forward to continuing longstanding traditions and developing innovative Panther learning experiences.
Thank you for this opportunity to serve.
Brandi Lee - Academic Dean
I am honored to lead and serve you this year as Academic Dean of Duncanville High School Collegiate Academy. Duncanville has been a part of my family for many years. I am a wife, mother and actively involved in my community.
As a Dallas native, I earned a Bachelor Degree from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas and Master Degree from Dallas Baptist University. I believe learning is a continuous process, occurring both in the classroom and in our communities. Providing our scholars with unlimited learning experiences while supporting their social and emotional needs ensures we are holistically growing and enriching each individual scholar.
I am passionate about providing a high level of support and committed to building positive relationships. Together we will Ignite Passion, Captivate Interest and Elevate Mindsets to ensure our scholars are well prepared with the necessary skills needed to contribute to the global society and write their next chapter successfully.

Kecia Wright - Teacher Leader
As a Dallas native, I attended Dallas ISD in my early years and then went on to graduate from Greenhill School. I ventured off to Hampton University, in Hampton, Virginia, for college and then returned to Dallas to be home near my family, especially my younger sisters and older brother.
I taught in Dallas ISD for 7 years, Wylie ISD for 1 year, Cedar Hill ISD for 5 years, and the 2018 - 2019 school year will be my 1st year at Duncanville High School Collegiate Academy and my 14th year in education.
In my free time, I enjoy anything Happy Planner related, reading, doing DIY projects, watching Hallmark, and volunteering at my church. I am also a pround member of Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority, Inc. and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
My philosophy of education, in short, is that by creating an environment that fosters learning and creates a mutual respect for differences, my goal is to leave no mystery in the eyes of students. Everyone can learn. While the intellectual capabilities of some outweigh those of others, everyone has the ability to learn something new or different to increase their depth of knowledge. I believe that it is my responsibility to acknowledge the individual needs of each scholar and the entire community of learners. In order to do this, I must present information in a manner that reaches all types of learners. It is my hope that the learning environment in my classroom will be the gateway to a desire for lifelong learning. I encourage scholars to strive for the highest.
Jeremy Taulton - Teacher Leader
I graduated from Cedar Hill Collegiate High School in 2014 with my Associate of Arts degree. During my time at Collegiate, I was involved in several organizations and helped push the school to new heights. Also during this time, I worked for the District Administration. These two experiences helped me find my passion for education. After graduation, I went on to Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas where I received my bachelor degree in Psychology with a minor in Mathematics Education, graduating in 2016. I received my master degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington in December 2017.
I spent my first two years teaching at Cedar Hill Collegiate Academy Middle School teaching Grade 8 Math and Algebra I. I am excited to be working with the phenomenal team at Duncanville High School Collegiate Academy to build an exciting and engaging program for all students. As the Pre-AP Algebra I and Algebra II teacher, I will be engaging students in a world of mathematics that will extend into their lives.
My educational philosophy comes from Plato's Allegory of Cave. To paraphrase, he says that everyone has the ability to learn no matter their background; we just have to be pointed in the right direction. I believe that every student has the capacity and the ability to learn anything they want. I believe in empowering students will the tenacity and the attitude to grasp and apply concepts to their daily lives. I know that we will exceed the standards of Duncanville ISD this year.
